WMU, Women's Missionary Union, began in 1888. WMU has become the largest Protestant mission organization for women in the world. Today, the Women's Missionary Union of the Southern Baptist Church continues to look toward the future to "challenge Christian believers to understand and be involved in the mission of God".
As a mission ministry within a congregation, one of our goals is to encourage others and provide opportunities for all church members and other participants to be aware of and involved in missions. We cooperate with other mission ministries within the congregation to help the congregation fulfill its mission potential.
Crestview WMU/Ladies Ministry works together as one unit to offer Bible Study, Special Events, and Fellowship to support ladies and with a special emphasis on missions. We support local, national, and foreign missions.
As part of our mission, we feel called to offer spiritual encouragement and to help our Christian sisters and members. Our hopes and prayers are that through our studies, support, and outreach, we will reach others for Christ.
